Why This Art Activity Is Such A Hit
Toddlers love scribbling—it’s how they explore, express, and enjoy the process of creating. This monster-themed scribble art encourages that natural curiosity. Scribbling are the early stages of pre-writing skills. With just a few materials, your child can turn a wild scribble into a silly monster with googly eyes and legs.
The Benefits Of This Activity:
- Strengthen fine motor skills
- Encourage imaginative thinking
- Boost confidence through self-expression
And best of all? There’s no “right” or “wrong” way to make a monster!

How To Create Monster Scribble Art
1. Let the Scribbling Begin!
Hand your toddler some crayons or markers and let them go wild with scribbles. The more colorful and crazy, the better!
2. Glue on the Eyes
Once the scribble is complete, it’s time to bring their monster to life! Help your toddler glue googly eyes (one, two, or even five!) somewhere on the scribble. The sillier the placement, the more fun the monster looks!
3. Add Legs (and Maybe Arms!)
Using a black marker, invite your child to draw legs sticking out from the scribble. You can also add arms, antennae, or even a tail if your little artist wants to go all out.

Try This With Dot Markers!
We stumbled on using dot markers by accident, and it was fun! Using the same materials and concept as the scribble art, but with dot markers instead.
Create a fun-shaped monster by using the dot markers!
