Everything You Need For This Activity

  • Foil, Large Sheets
  • Markers
  • Winter Coloring Pages, I use canva to create simple color sheets for my kids. I have Canva Pro, but I’m sure you could use the FREE version also.

Finding Winter Themed Coloring Sheets For Free

I use Canva for pretty much everything, so I usually check what they have in terms of premade coloring pages or clipart that I can use to create my own pages.

I have the pro version, but I am sure you can still find some great premade coloring sheets with the free version. You can also search FREE winter coloring pages on Google.

There were so many options to choose from, but I ended up printing a tree, snowflakes, a snowman, reindeer, a gingerbread man, and a few others.

Setting This Activity Up

This activity is definitely simple, but I always like to spend a few extra minutes prepping the area for easier cleanup once the kids are done.

I used my kids sensory table as the surface for this activity. Then I used tape to secure the corners of the foil and made sure the entire table was fully covered. I did not want to scrub marker off the table when they were finished.

Instructions For Setting Up This Winter Foil Art For Toddlers Activity

  1. Decide whether you want to do the activity on the floor or at a table. I used my kids activity table for this setup.
  2. Place the aluminum sheets over the area you want to cover and secure the corners and edges with tape.
  3. Add a basket of markers and a spray bottle.
  4. Place the coloring pages nearby.
  5. I recommend demonstrating the activity first. You want to make sure your kids understand the steps for creating the art.
