As a little girl, I would get so excited the closer it got to easter because I absolutely loved being able to do easter egg hunts.
I plan on creating those same traditions with my daughter, so creating a fun indoor easter egg hunt activity (until things warm up outdoors) was the perfect solution! I added a slight twist on the typical Easter egg hunt tradition, how fun would It be to not only find the easter eggs but rescue them as well? I think I may be more excited than her, let’s get into it!
Setting Up The Easter Egg Hunt & Rescue
First, pick an area where you would like to have the egg hunt, try to choose an open area that has good hiding spots as well. I prefer to set this activity up during naps, So my daughter doesn’t see where I’m hiding the eggs.
- Using your tape, secure each egg to a hard surface around the house.
- Grab the easter egg basket, and add some easter grass inside
- Once the activity is ready, you may need to demonstrate what to do for younger toddlers. For older toddlers you can explain to them that the eggs need to be found and rescued.
- Take things up a level by adding fun treats inside each egg ( optional )
Supplies Needed For This Activity
- Washi Tape
- Easter Eggs
- Easter Egg Baskets
- Easter Grass
